I have black hair, I'm thinking of either re-dying the black and adding blonde streaks, or going all blonde and putting black streaks like underneath in the bangs area.
I have both boxes of dye and i really dont have the money to go to a salon... what is the best way for me to do this?
Also, if you know of a good webpage that can help me thru it, let me know. THANK YOU.

Blonde hair with jet black streaks?
loving it. BUT that coulour of "what you want'
is ansty. what you do, clip up the first layer of hair (the top layer) and do the under layer blonde, make sure its a thin layer! here yapu go:
1.Pick a color you are comfortable with. If it is your first time, pick a color not so far away from your original just in case.
Follow all of the directions on the box! Even do the color strand test they say to. You want to make sure that you aren't allergic to the dye. Once you have done the "test", make sure you wear the plastic gloves they enclose.
2.Mix the dye together like they tell you.
Make sure you coat all your hair so it doesn't come out streaky and set a timer for the amount of time they tell you to put it in your hair for.
Wait until the timer is up, get in the shower and get a little water in your hair and lather it up, dye and all. Let it sit for another minute and rinse it out completely until the water runs clear.
3.Use the conditioner that they give you and leave it in your hair longer than they suggest...about 5 minutes. Rinse it out.
Allow your hair to dry naturally instead of blow-drying as it will retain more shine that way.
4.Wash your hair, the next day, like you normally would and condition it with your normal conditioner, but again just like with the conditioner that came with the dye; leave it in for about 5 minutes.
6.Make sure you leave that conditioner in for at least three minutes every time you shampoo, for the next week and your hair will be soft and shiny just like it was before you dyed it.
TIPS
With some products, rinsing your hair with vinegar immediately after coloring will make it last a bit longer(Mix equal parts of white vinegar and water, comb through hair and let it stay for a minute or two, then you can rinse it out).
Mix some conditioner into the dye before you apply it. This helps your hair take the colour and isn't as damaging.
Before you dye your hair, you can smear vaseline or any other cream on you forhead and ears, this way you skin isn`t dyed with you hair, en you can easilly wipe of the dye.
BE CAREFUL!
If you experience any burning or itching while the dye is in, make sure you rinse it out right away!
If your hair is extremely dry, condition it every night for at least 5 minutes in a hot shower for at least a week before dying it.
DO NOT dye it pitch black unless you are prepared to keep the color for awhile or wouldn't mind going to the salon to have it chemically lightened
Be careful of the chemicals in hair dyes; some hair dyes, especially the darker colors, are suspected of containing carcinogens (cancer-causing chemicals); ask at your health food store or herbalist if in doubt.
Some dyes use a chemical called Paraphenylenediamine, which can cause bad reactions in some people. If the dye you use contains this ingredient, it is best to do a "patch test" on a small area of skin before applying it to your hair
i hope i earned ten points,darling!!

Blonde hair with jet black streaks?
Either way, it all looks nasty. Get rid of the piercings, get a haircut and keep it real.
Blonde hair with jet black streaks?
go bo staia
Blonde hair with jet black streaks?
i say you should die it underneith the bangs.
because then the regrowth wont be so visible.
and regrowth is soo annoying.
Blonde hair with jet black streaks?
Ya it look alright but DO NOT go for blonde and black streaks that just doesnt go! But the black with with blonde/red streaks looks ok..
Blonde hair with jet black streaks?
Darker hair looks way better on you.
Blonde hair with jet black streaks?
the problem with black hair is actually lifting it to blonde. try going to sallys and getting some salon quality color. its inexpensive and doesnt fade as fast as box dyes.
Blonde hair with jet black streaks?
ok, keep the piercings, dye the hair!
Blonde hair with jet black streaks?
you should go bald or get a crew cut.
it would look reallyyyyy good
but if you really want to die it, do the black....blonde is wierd on black.
Blonde hair with jet black streaks?
You should keep the black and dye it blonde. If you dye it all blonde then don't have black streaks. They will stand out too much.
Blonde hair with jet black streaks?
you look good in the first i dont think it is good in the second
Blonde hair with jet black streaks?
eww just don't..way too f-ing emo
Blonde hair with jet black streaks?
Would suit you, but I like the way you look now :)
Blonde hair with jet black streaks?
Yes.
Blonde hair with jet black streaks?
Huh? um...
Blonde hair with jet black streaks?
Best you do the black then blonde thing.
I did this once, but I recently died my hair black so when I would wash my hair, the left over die would dilute the brightness of the blonde. So when you rinse out your black die, make sure to rinse it out very good.
Blonde hair with jet black streaks?
awhh i like that guys hair. your not too bad either. lol !! haha. do the black with the blonde streaks like that picture. itll loook wayyy better. the blonde will be too light for your face. plus blonde dye ends up turning like a nasty orangy blonde color (mine did thats why its brown now). so yeaah go for the black %26lt;3
Blonde hair with jet black streaks?
I know what your saying, but please please PLEASE remember. That lighter colors do not take to darker colors without all of your hair falling out. I just went through this... My hair was black dark dark dark black... and I wanted to turn back into a red head. I had to sit in a chair for 4 hours to strip out the black and it STILL didn't come out all the way.
The best way for you to do it is to leave it alone... because chances are that if you put blonde or bleach whatever in your hair it will turn a ridiculous orange and it's gonna look stupid because it happened to me!! haha. I think you look good the way you are. Maybe just let your natural hair color grow out a bit and then go for this look, it would save you a lot of trouble and $$$
Blonde hair with jet black streaks?
Good look for you! With your hair so dark, you will need something to strip the color, I use a Loreal product I buy at Sally Beauty Supply, it is a powder that you mix with 40 volume peroxide. My hair is dark, and it strips is down to a pale yellow in about 15 minutes, then use the color you want.. just make sure your hair is in good condition and use a conditioner when you are done! Good Luck!
Blonde hair with jet black streaks?
I like the black all over %26amp; then adding chunky blonde. I know your tight on cash...but...try going to a beauty school instead. I know they are only students but they will probably do a better job than you could your self. Very inexpensive.
Good luck!
Blonde hair with jet black streaks?
Go for it :)
Blonde hair with jet black streaks?
yeah the second pic looks loverly
and when dyeing your hair dye it black first then leave it a few day and then do the blond make sure the blond is a bleach and you leave it on long enought or the blonde wont take properly
good look x
Blonde hair with jet black streaks?
Since I experiment with my hair a lot, and my friends do the same, I know that it is not easy and usually turns out bad going blonde after having dark hair without the help of a professional. Plus the fact that you look way better with dark hair. I would say that you shoudl go with the jet black hair color and blonde streaks in the bangs. I think it would look great on you.
Good luck.
