Dye hair in platinum blonde?

you should really go to a professional.

yeah i know they're expensive. but they'll save you ALOT of trouble.

dying your hair no matter the things in it, will damage your hair. as you may already know when you wet your hair, it's stiff. i'd suggest letting your hair grow out to it's natural color then dye it the color you want. other wise you'll do what i did and end up having to dye it 3 times and have alot of your hair fall out and then still not have an even color. i made the mistake of having my roots one color and the tips a completely different color. my hair is finally getting back to normal over 4 months down the line.

going blonde is hard on your hair and you'll need a really strong bleaching kit, they're not that cheap either.

careful that your hair isn't brown/orangish enough that it doesn't go green. and remember you've got to go light LIGHT blonde before almost white.

Don't do it yourself!!!! To go platinum blonde you should go gradually, going lighter each time. And you should go to a professional colorist. Otherwise your hair can get severly damaged and break off. I've seen it happen to other girls.

Dye hair in platinum blonde?

ah no! It will kill your hair and the re-growth is hideous! seriously doing it platinum blonde strips your hair leaving it dry and frizzeled Go to a salon and get high-lights

If you have an orange-brown shade now, it will need special treatment to eliminate it. Yes, a product with peroxide will be necessary to lighten the color effectively. This is where the professional comes in. This is a tricky change, whether you want platinum or other shade of blonde.

Yes, all chemical processing does cause some damage. It can be limited by an experienced professional, and really give you severe damage, even breakage of your hair, if it's done wrong. Invest in your look, and you can be very happy with the results.

I had mine done 3 days ago.... I didnt mean to get too light blonde but it looks ok to me and my boyfriend... my hair had highlights before and 1 month later i had it done completely blonde... dont do it by yourself it will damage your hair. hair dresser knows how to do it without damaging your hair... and if you dyed your hair recently, wait at least for a month before you dye it again. i lighten my eyebrows a bit as well.... it looks ok to me... i am at work right now and since i had mine done, people at work just can not stop talking about my hair... oooooo what have you done? oooooo its too blonde! ******** assholes... just get your hair done..... if you do it in the hairdresser's it wont get damaged... dont be afraid...

I would like to advise you NOT TO BLOND YOUR HAIR, since your hairs will become very thin and weak and it will become looking awful. I did it once and i was terribly sorry - my hair started looking like straw, and nothing could help it become as it used to - even the most expensive hair masks and other products. That was one of the worst things i have done to my hair and i would never repeat it

Dye hair in platinum blonde?

if you do it yourself it will turn ginger this happened to me. Then you will have to do it a few time by then you hair will be badly damaged and dry plus you have to do your roots every 3-4 weeks. With summer coming up it will make your hair even more dry why not get platinum highlights its much more classy.

if you want to be platinum , i reccomend going to a proffesional stylist , i mean the best of the best.because they will make it amazing , otherwise it won't be that good.also , bring a photo of a celeberity that u like to show to your stylist that can help acheive a better blonde. also , after going blonde use really good shampoos and conditioners like frederic fekkai , or others shampoos reccomded by yur stylist. the bleach will damage yur hair , but not as much if u use the right products.

Please go to a salon and don't attempt this yourself, orangy brown hair now could come out disasterous if done wrong. If you don't dye your hair very often, a good hairdresser will be able to achieve a nice blonde for you, but having red pigment in your hair means that the colour will take a long time to bleach, if you do decide to do it yourself, make sure you leave the stuff in for a really long time xx

Dye hair in platinum blonde?

i heard it burns like hell! but it looks good :)

Dye hair in platinum blonde?

Yes, go to a professional...even though i made mine platinum doing it myself, i still suggest you have a professional do it! Otherwise it might come out yellowish...or even orange.

Dye hair in platinum blonde?

aaarrrggghhh! dont panic but I just had this same problem, I want platinum blonde and my hair is dyed and yes I DID bleach it and yes it has gone orange! I have just spent the last week trying to find out how to correct it and basically I cant. My hair is like straw ( have invested in some very good conditioner ) and no matter how many blue / violet toners I try my hair is still a sort of patchy orangy yellowy colour. I am now too embarassed to go to my stylist as I know he will just tell me how much of a mess it looks and that I should have come to him first..... I think I might go back to brunette......

Dye hair in platinum blonde?

The best thing to do if u want platinum blonde is to re dye ur hair. U will need to use bleach and peroxide. The volume of the peroxide should b no less than 20 vol. U will need to leave it on for max 45 mins, if it starts to tingle ur scalp or start to burn u should wash it off. Yes it will damage ur hair slightly but using a good shampoo and conditioner will prevent it from breakage. U might also want to use a toner wen u have bleached to get that silver/ platinum tone ( Sarah Harding colour) L'oreal do a good one

Dye hair in platinum blonde?

yeh dont do it yourself cos you will damage your hair! besides it might turn out light orange then too. get it done by a proffessional even tho it cost much but at least you will get the result you want

Dye hair in platinum blonde?

Go have it done profestionally and follow the hair care instructions from you hairdresser If you go blonde have a unique hair cut to go with it You just can t have blonde hair it has to have a cut and color to match

Dye hair in platinum blonde?

Go to a salon. It will be really hard to get the result you want without professional products. Especially if your hair is previously dyed. I wouldn't attempt it at home. I've seen too many friends try, ending up with brassy or orange hair!

Dye hair in platinum blonde?

please dont do this yourself unless your hair is very very short . to start off with you will burn your scalp which becomes infected very easily . people have gone to hospital for this .

Dye hair in platinum blonde?

I think that if you made up your mind , then you should do it professionally. Although i would have to say that platinum blond is not a good color, because the chemicals burn your hair, and then if you ever decide to another color its really hard to put one onto the platinum blond, it will always be lighter.

Dye hair in platinum blonde?

I have just gone platinum recently and had a similar hair colour to start off with that you have described.

Definately go to a salon - even though your hair is a speific colour, the underlying "makeup" of your hair will also affect the way the colour comes out (depending on your natural base). Getting it done professionally is the only way to ensure it is the same colour from root to tip or you could end up with variants of orange/yellow/blonde.

It does burn and is pretty itchy for a few days after - even with the salon doing it. Some dyes are not designed to be used on your scalp so if you are not clued up on and buy a home kit just think of the damage it could do!!

Even with a salon job, your hair will still be damaged - they don't have any magical products, bleach damages your hair full stop and no doubt you will have some breakage. They just have the expertise to minimise the damage.

Invest in some good repair treatments for the aftermath - Wella SP repair is a good one which repairs your hair from the inside out so making it stronger. Anything with Keratin is also worth a go.

Also, silverising shampoos (purple in colour) are really good for keeping your hair the platinum shade you want it (purple is the opposite side of the colour chart to yellow so it neutralises brassy tones). Even if your hair turns a slightly darker blonde than you are after, with regular use these can be used to get it a paler shade

Invest in getting it done properly and you will have the colour you want and damage that is repairable.

Good Luck!!!
