I have dark roots and dirty blonde hair, how do I dye it evenly to medium blonde?

I have dark roots and am like a dirty blonde on the rest of my little below shoulder lenth hair. I want to dye my hair medium blonde. I have L'Oreal Preference Medium Blonde, it says it is a Natural tone. I would like to know how to dye it evenly, from the dark roots and dirty blonde to medium blonde? How do I go about getting the roots to blend with the rest, with the new color to be one solid same color? Nothing more darker or lighter than another spot??

im not sure how to do it yourself, but if you go to a hairdresser and tell them that you want your hair so that it is all medium blonde, im sure that theyll do it for you. good luck!

My aunt is a hair dresser and she said to put the product on the dark roots first and leave it on only the roots for about 5 minutes. Then, put the product all over your hair for the required time. Rinse it all at the same time. Hope this helps!

Apply to the dark roots and let that sit 5-8 minutes before applying to rest of hair. Follow directions on package form there.
